Qualifying Certificate Examinations
The IEC conducts all examinations for the Programme offered at the Ghana School of Law. These include the Professional Law Course Part I and Part II and the Post Call Law Course
Qualifying Certificate Examination (Professional Law Examinations)
A student of the Professional Law Course id eligible to write the Qualifying Certificate Examination, if that student has pursued a course of study in the approved subjects specified in Regulation 8, paid the fees specified in Regulation 6, and obtained a clearance from the Ghana School of Law (Regulation 10 of L.I. 2355, as amended by L.I. 2427).
Regulation 8 lists the approved subjects in respect of which practical training and instructions are given as follows:
Civil Procedure.
Criminal Procedure.
Law of Evidence.
Conveyancing and Drafting.
Law Practice Management and Legal Accountacy.
Advocacy and Legal Ethics.
Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Company and Commercial Law Practice.
Family Law and Practice.
Law of Interpretation of Deeds and Statutes, and
any other subject that the Council may determine.
The exit examinations for Professional, and Post Call programmes are administered in June/July. Candidates must pay their examination fee prior to registering for the examinations.
